
All surfaces should be clean from dirt, oil, etc. before installation of new cap and gasket. Once cap and gasket are bolted into place, torque bolts in a crisscross order to 15-20 ft-lbs. Failure to comply with the torque could result in gasket failure.
All threaded areas should be clean from dirt, oil, etc. before installation of new cap and O-ring seal. Lubricate the O-ring seal with gear lube currently being used in the hub. Screw new cap on and tighten to 60 ft-lbs. Failure to comply with the torque could result in O-ring failure.
Insert the hubodometer shaft through the hole in the center of the hub cap. Install the washer and secure with the locknut provided. Torque the nut to 18-22 ft-lb.
